AI has arrived in Modelling. Models and Agencies are sharing their stories
A Chinese marketplace client allegedly used photographs taken of a model during a casting to generate product imagery - replacing her face and shoes with AI, while keeping her body and pose. She recognised herself, she says, by her knees. The outfit was the client's, handed to her to try on. The logic is straightforward: invite models to a casting, photograph them in the clothes, then generate the final image without ever hiring anyone.
I also had a kind of similar experience. I don't want to name the brand, but they only booked me for four hours, which was enough for 4-5 outfits (it was ecom and social media for bags) and after they "ran out of pictures" they posted an Al generated picture of me in a new outfit. It was scary, because it looked so realistic I even asked myself if we did that outfit and I just forgot about it but no.. I told my agent, she probably reported it because after a few days it got taken down but moral of the story: beware of these!! and take actions if needed!
Omg I just experienced the same thing!! It looked so real, I even reposted the picture for a couple of minutes, but than I though it was weird I didn't remember the outfit (the real pictures were taken a couple of months ago and there were a lot of outfits so I first though yeah maybe | just don't remember it). I asked the photographer and she affirmed I never worn this outfit !!
This makes me so sad and anxious...
Same happened to me lol, did a look book around 20 outfits, the brand used up all the pictures and started Al generating random shi to the point where it barely look liked me, ts is becoming so common and dystopian
I also have an experience like this but it was not as severe. A client I had a long time ago started posting some photos of me ai generated in a different location than we originally shot. They didn't make any differences to my appearance but I still found it very uncomfortable.

We also heard from one of our talents that some Chinese clients - who were asking agencies to send their models to casting - have stolen the faces of models and have reproduced them with AI, this was happening 1 year ago...
One agency/ client in Germany also asked to use my image for ai model of course my ma didn’t approved that same as me. It was around November / December.
Yeah my agency in Taiwan told me about this some months ago, they are gonna start offering Al bookings to clients that don't wanna organize/pay full shooting teams. Its crazy, I personally think modeling is doomed
The owner of an agency in China spoke to me about how they bought software from states and are using it for making pics with models with no book.
So if a client is asking for "pijama pictures" they make it in 20 mins and send. Clients are booking AI made models and agencies are making ai pics for portfolios of real models
